South American Rainforest Pictures

Hello, this is my little blog called rainforest pictures. The concept is for me to provide a running commentary on my trip to the rainforest where I plan to take pictures of all the rainforest animals I see.

A while ago I decided that it would be a good idea to quit my job and head off to Peru to work on a volunteer conservation project. Like all ‘good ideas’ I hadn’t perhaps considered all the details but bravely handed in my resignation and prayed that I had made the right choice…

Most people told me how brave I was, (I’m still hoping that’s not a euphemism for stupid). Only my dad pointed out, in a rather concerned voice I might add, that we were in an economic downturn and perhaps now wasn’t the time to be flitting off “because it seemed like a good idea” but has supported me regardless – Thanks Dad!

And here follows my account of how I get on, and lots of rainforest pictures to keep you amused along the way, wish me luck!
